348m² Sixth Form Courtyard Transformation | St Bernard’s Catholic Grammar School
We’ve recently completed the 348m² resin bound resurfacing of the sixth form courtyard at St Bernard’s Catholic Grammar School, turning a tired and patchy area into a fresh new space ready for a complete upgrade.
Using Vuba resin bound "Penrith" blend.

St Bernards CGS -
Before
The existing courtyard had a mixture of old tarmac, concrete, service chases and ageing metal manhole covers. As part of the preparation, we:
Replaced the old metal manhole covers with recessed manhole covers
Thoroughly cleaned and prepared the existing surface
Applied Vuba EpiPrime
Installed Vuba Structural Reinforcement Mesh for additional strength
Broadcast quartz to create a strong mechanical key for the resin
Installed the @vubaresinproducts Resin Bound Penrith Blend top coat

After
The new courtyard will become a fantastic space for the sixth form, with new seating, tables, table tennis tables, a living wall and a dedicated seating area within the tunnel.
From a tired, patchwork surface to a modern, durable and attractive courtyard — this is a complete transformation and we’re proud to have played our part.
